JOE STUMP’S TOWER OF BABEL
Days Of Thunder

Guitar virtuoso Joe Stump has released his latest Tower of Babel album, Days Of Thunder, on July 4th, 2025, via Silver Lining Music.
This is a multi-genre, guitar-driven production that punches some Rainbow and Deep Purple vibes, which isn’t surprising as Joe cites Ritchie Blackmore as one of his many influences. Joe has assembled a great band, all guitar duties. ‘Dominum‘ is an acoustic instrumental that sets the stage for the two tracks, ‘Rules Of Silence‘ and the title track, ‘Days Of Thunder‘. This showcases the band’s talent, with fast riffs and strong vocals. ‘Blind Are Your Eyes‘, ‘Alone In The Desert‘, and ‘Trust Me‘ have a strong Deep Purple vibe and are my personal favourites on the album. Bluesy, riff-mastering tracks that take you on a journey. The keyboards on ‘The Heat Of The Night‘ push a powerful sound that mixes perfectly with Joe’s guitar and vocals.
The album finishes with ‘The Princess‘, which is fast and furious and ends the album on a high note. Days Of Thunder fans the flame of influences from many other outlets, pushing a modern, talented sound that’s all their own. What I like about this album is that it stays true to the hard rock/metal vein, showcasing Joe’s premier guitar performance—his solos throughout this album are fantastic.
