HERIOT
Heriot‘s stop in London, Ontario came a few days into Trivium’s Ascend Above the Ashes Tour, a blistering North American run that also features Jinjer and marks Heriot‘s first-ever trek across the Atlantic. “We’re beyond thrilled to be a part of Trivium’s Ascend Above the Ashes tour on our first adventure into the US,” the band said before the tour kicked off. “We’ve all been huge fans of the band from a young age and we’re very grateful to have this opportunity.”Fresh off the release of their critically adored debut Devoured By The Mouth Of Hell (Century Media, 2024), the young UK quartet have been carving out their place among modern metal’s elite. Produced by Heriot‘s own Jake Packer with Sylosis’s Josh Middleton and mixed by Grammy-winner Will Putney (Fit For An Autopsy, Better Lovers), the record’s molten blend of metallic sludge and hardcore was even more blistering and face-crushingly perfect in a live setting.

JINJER
Ukrainian groove metal titans Jinjer brought their trademark precision and power to London, Ontario as part of their latest North American run with Trivium and Heriot. Touring in support of their acclaimed fifth album, Duél(Napalm Records), the band proved tonight why they’ve become one of metal’s most insanely popular live acts, delivering a set that was pure technical proficiency combined with raw, powerful emotion. Vocalist Tatiana Shmayluk is an absolute monster onstage. Don’t her petite frame fool you, as she can certainly go toe-to-toe with the biggest and best swinging dicks of their peers. She exudes an effortless ferocity, seamlessly shifting between guttural growls an soaring cleans which is matched by the airtight musicianship of the bassist Eugene Abdukhanov, guitarist Roman Ibramkhalilov, and drummer Vlad Ulasevich. The tour – which kicked off on Halloween in North Myrtle Beach, SC, and runs through December 14th in Orlando, FL – marks another milestone for Jinjer, who continue to captivate crowds across the world while solidifying their reputation as one of the genre’s most commanding live forces.

TRIVIUM
Currently celebrating the release of their brand new Struck Dead EP (released on Halloween night), Matt Heafy and his merry band of metal miscreants brought three decades of musical dominance in modern metal to London, Ontario, Canada on this eve. The night showcased Trivium at a creative crossroads – delivering songs that defined melodic ferocity found on classics such as Ascendancy, The Crusade, and Shogun, competing with the renewed energy of their contemporary material, which included a good amount of tracks culled from What The Dead Men Say and In The Court Of The Dragon. Heafy himself was an absolute beast onstage. He ain’t no spring chicken, but it’s certainly obvious he has been taking care of himself in his middle years, which absolutely came across in his energetic and tight performance. This tour represents not just another victory lap for this well-oiled and seasoned band, but the bold first chapter of Trivium‘s next era.
